Chante is excited to annoucne the release of his debut EP titled Ready which will drop on Febuary 5th and is currently available for pre-order. Chante can’t wait for the world to hear what he has to say.
On the outskirts of Downtown Honolulu lies the suburban outlines of Makiki, the home of Malamaponomaikalani “Pono” Patoc. Drive northeast towards the valley and youʻll hear the sounds of Hawaii-born reggae artist Chante, the alter-ego who is a producer, songwriter and engineer. While releasing multiple singles over the years, co-writing music, producing and engineering soundtracks for award winning local Hawaii artists, Chante strives to write his life stories through reggae music. After years of refining his sound, Chante is ready to release his debut solo project Ready, a five track EP featuring the hit single “Medals”.
Note From Chante
Ready is my first project and introduction to the world as a solo artist. During these wicked times, I was able to hone in on my production, songwriting, and mixing skills thus making this project come to life. Look closely at the front cover and you will see the vines of the Akulikuli flower, my grandmother's favorite flower that blooms in cooler climates. Waimea, Hawaii, once home to my grandmotherʻs own Akulikuli garden, can be found on the face of the album cover. Just like the flower, I surround myself with the right people and the right conditions to bloom and grow my life aspirations.
This project is dedicated to my daughter Janaiah Patoc in hopes to create a legacy she can look up to. I would also like to thank everyone who supports me throughout my life and the start of this journey.

Bio
The start of his love for music began at a young age, when his uncle would come over and jam session at family parties. He picked up the ukulele and joined these jam sessions, but later on, he found his calling on the keyboards. His cousin, a member of a well-known reggae band Irie Souls, influenced him into entering the reggae music scene. He has been in the live performance scene for over 7 years and knows what it takes to put on a great show.
Chante has notably played with top reggae artists like J Boog, Sammy J, Siaosi, Kiwini Vaitai, The Jimmy Weeks Project, Peni Dean, Micah G, Kaipo Kapua, So Roots, and many more.
